New Patient FAQ

1.  Do I need to arrive early to my first appointment?

If you have not electronically completed your new patient paperwork (provided at the time of scheduling and accessible here), please arrive 15 minutes early to provide us with the necessary information for your appointment.

2.  How long should I expect my first appointment to be?

Your initial appointment for a complete oral exam is approximately 1-2 hours. During this time, Dr. Mannering will examine all aspects of your oral health including your teeth, gums, tongue, and dental history. To get a full understanding of your oral health, our team may take X-rays as well. If you are interested in a hygiene appointment during your first visit, you can expect to be in our practice for an additional hour.

3.  What do I need to bring to my first appointment?

Please bring the completed new patient paperwork and your dental insurance card (if applicable).

4.  How much should I expect my first appointment to cost?

The comprehensive oral evaluation costs $125, and X-rays range from $85-180. A standard preventative hygiene appointment costs $160.

5.  What does “fee-for-service” mean?

We are a “fee-for-service” office, which means you will pay for services at the time of service. We will submit a claim to your insurance company, who will then cut a check to reimburse you directly for the cost that is covered by your individual plan.

6.  What forms of payment do you accept?

For your convenience, we accept cash, check, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. We are able to process credit and debit card payments over the phone.

7.  What insurances do you accept?

We are happy to submit claims to any insurance company, so you may be reimbursed for the covered portion of your services. We are considered an out-of-network practice with all insurance companies.

Appointments

1.  How can I make an appointment?

We have several options for making an appointment. New patients can request an appointment via our website on the “New Patient” page, by calling our office, or by emailing us. In addition to these options, current patients can also request an appointment through PatientConnect.

2.  What if I need to cancel or reschedule an appointment?

We understand that conflicts arise and do our best to accommodate patients who need to reschedule. Should a conflict arise, please call or email at least 48 hours in advance of your appointment so we may fill that opening. Hygiene cancellations within the 48-hour window may be charged a $75 cancellation fee. Patients who miss an appointment without notice will also be charged a $75 missed appointment fee.
